Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Same old story at Exxon

I swear, giving feedback feels like shouting into the void. Nothing ever gets addressed no matter how important it is, and nothing changes. Whether it’s suggestions, concerns, or ideas, the result is always the same. I don’t understand why everybody seems so resistant to any kind of change, even to fix something that’s obviously broken. What does anybody gain by this?

Yup don't make waves. They don't want to here the truth. I used to years ago and my ranking suffered. Now I just sit back and stay quiet. My ranking now stinks because I don't speak up and offer ideas. I can't win. I think they get off by trashing any idea that is not their own. When I did say something it was ridiculed and I was made a fool for bringing it up. When the boss says we should all jump off the cube you have to agree. Any insane idea has to be cheered on. Be a yes person. They haven't listened in 25 years and it is not going to change or get better. It can only get worse.
