Proceed with caution if you are offered relocation assistance. I know some who have moved and ended up losing their job anyway.
Yeah, and that location is I&P.
"magnificently", not "magnificent".
Look up the definition of the word, "adverb".
YW
AFAIK remote employees will be removed eventually regardless of performance. Leaderships want every team members to be at same location.
i believe it’s totally case by case and how much your manager advocates. i have two coworkers from the same location, both high performers and only one was offered to move to charlotte. she declined so the bank lost two knowledgeable people! and both positions replaced in India… that’s the end game.
i would be hesitant to relocate away from friends and family because you still risk being laid off!
The reason it's case by case is 2 fold. One, there are legitimately highly specialized skills types that they want to "save" from the stupid "strategy". Second, they intentionally pick other people that they believe are unlikely to make the move. This gets them the benefit of PR 'we try hard to relocate as many employees as possible...' while not having to retain very many people at all. They are WELL aware of the interest rate situation and the fact that their mass downsizing strategy demotivates people from investing their career in the company, so they offer it to select people, hardly anyone takes it, and "everyone is happy".
#wellsfargoshitshow on the move
Very case by case and rare
its very different across the groups - its like they are trying to get sued by employment lawyers
when it was talked about in my group they indicated that. it everyone would be offered relocation, it's a case by case basis. if you accept relocation you will have 1 year to move and if you don't you'll be let go without severence.
