Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

San Ramon Timeline

Given some of the info that’s trickling out about 2025 layoffs, like the Finance update, did they just straight up lie and set false expectations when they communicated the HQ move timeline? This is wrong on so many levels.

The good news is that they may fire you sooner and you won't have to move at all. The d-mber solution would have been to move you to Texas this year, then fire you next year.

Did they lie? No. Did they set false expectations? Absolutely yes. Although the official timeline for San Ramon moves is quite long, vast majority of people in San Ramon will be impacted by these functional reorgs much sooner.

Have you ever seen an organization having a full breakdown? Because this is what an organization having a full breakdown looks like

What finance update are you referring to.

How many jobs will even move from HQ at all. Lots of smoke and mirrors
