Ok so I got the big zero percent raise. What to do now? Work harder or stay later and out in more hours. I think not. I will continue at a lower than usual pace. If they pisd h me off I will quiet quit. I am NRE so I am very safe. How are you going ok respond to this?
Once a long time ago at another company I was at we were denied a raise even though the company made record profits. We staged a mass sick out. Most of us called on sick one day. We made sure that we had a big employee only meal the day before. We all used the stomach virus excuse. The pony knew what we did and lost a ton of money. 6 months later we were all given raises. So post what you will do. Quiet quit, calling in more, bad attitudes, not doing quality work, or not doing any work at all. This is the wrath you shall endure exxon. It must be done to balance the universe. We have to do something. The negative energy must be dispeled. Remember 0=0. Exxon has brought this upon itself. Its revolution up in this bia tech. Do it for all the others that have endured years of suffering. Make exxon pay.

I agree, Disgruntled in Clinton. This is torture just going along almost as if nothing's different, but yet the environment obviously is. Just lay us off now.
And for those saying, "then quit!", fyi some of us have a decent severance package that would be lost, and are somewhat stuck due to being not old enough to retire.
They sent a message that they don’t give two sh--s about you. Take the hint.
It would be fun to be in NJ at this time. site closing no raises and no future. Exxon should cut its losses and let the employees go home with pay for the next two tears. I doubt any real work will be done during this time. Exxon would better off hiring contractors to pack things up. Who knows what things disgruntled employees would do. Some who have no other options could do something drastic. When was at a plant in texas that was closing they sent all the regular employees home with pay for 6 months. I was part of the cleanup and packing crew contractors. We still found sabotage and destroyed equipment in the plant.

The inflation-adjusted pay required for me to part with a given number of my hours is increasing over time as the opportunity cost of that time increases. When I get a nominal 0% raise, a decrease in my real salary, it will be met with a decrease in the hours I will spend on work and from EMs perspective a decrease in my output. Why would the bean counters expect any other result? Oh, did they assume we are all so insecure that we would do anything to achieve validation of abusive upper management?
