I was doing my best work at this time and was ranked as E and O thru this period. It su-ked bad and we were all pi---d off. The difference was exxon did not put the sc--ws to us about more work and trying harder. They left us alone were afraid of us the workers. Upstream was the only division affected as i know the down streamers continued getting raise during this time. The company almost went under during this time and around covid. I was in my 40's at the time and was stuck. Some left after the first two years and others stayed and dealt with it. We could be entering a new era of no raises so either leave or stick it out.

The poster isn’t talking bs. The names were different but if you worked in bith systems it is easy - new O is old top 10% and upper third in old is new E

Yes this is true depending on ranking raise was from 12 months to 18 or even 24 months
intervals. It was eads back them at epr/urc and ranking was top mid and bottom.
I also remember they used to not give a raise every 12 months even if you got one. Based on ranking you could go 18 months with no raise easily even when there was no freeze
Yes. Several years of no raises happens every couple of years. Raises su-k here if you average them out over time
I got promoted to CL28 during that time and had some good raises, and some crummy ones. Last 5 years have been garbage.
Then I was in the top. Its been too many years and I don't think to well anymore according the PDS. My ranking stinks and the reason is I am low is that I am old. Listen I was working for EPR, URC and now EMTEC. I don't remember half the cr-p about exxon but it was eads before. So not lying just old. I do remember that you could not drop more than one level every year.
During the 2014 to 2017, I was in exploration and got the best raises of my career, but did not get promoted...simply rose in ranking to top quintile from middle quintile.
Liar. We didn’t have o or E in 2014-2017. You were just told your 1/3.
I remember it well as so many others. Also the elimination of the 401k match during COVID. Also the reduction in all other benefits over time such as education match, charitable giving match and so on
We had 3 years in upstream I remember.it su-ked.
The only time I didn’t receive a raise was during Covid. I’ve been with the company since 2012.
