We are drowning in CCA (Carelon) under Jaleisha. Nobody cares. The teams are fed up and moral well there is none. A few managers/Directors seem to do ok at surface level feeding into the VP. It’s just a horrible environment, no resources, new platforms are a mess, meeting upon meeting upon meeting that fixes nothing. Looking forward to barely a raise or even a bonus. 2025 calling for department cuts and off shoring. It’s scary.

The VPs here su-k. They intentionally don't want anything other than surface level. That way they can avoid any and all responsibility. When is the last time a VP was held accountable for anything?!?! Yet, they (and above) take ~80% of the overall salary and benefits across the org, leaving 20% for them to find savings by laying people off.
Let’s be honest. If CEO didn’t get sh-t that resulted in backlash against the healthcare system then the anesthesia policy would not have been walked back. This is just to save face and improve optics. Had this stuff not happened Gail would’ve marched forward with this stupid policy.
If the staff VPs were doing their jobs they would take a beat and say "Hmmm let's think about how the anesthesiologists might respond" and "what can we do to get in front of this" Too many people coming from consulting firms without provider experience.
Sounds about right for this company, this is how it is in MCAG too.
Gail realized their little anesthesia stunt wasn't a good idea.
Maybe this will wake them up a bit and then maybe they can start inquiring about what Felicia does for this organization.
Staff VP’s is just a body between the Executive Leadership and worker bees. The company could eliminate every Staff VP and not skip a beat. Carelon is a hot mess and all these pushed initiatives for A1 are futile…too late. The money being spent on new platforms is money down the drain.
Announcing the anesthesia rule and then immediately rescinding it means the chaos is showing clearly to the outside world. It was clear to providers and members before. Now it is clear to anyone casually looking at their news feed!
