Lots more bad press for the company because they only promote 'yes' people. The id--t factor is shining brightly these days. Reflecting in the company stock price. Now is the time to spend billions buying back company stock.

One COC initiative they haven't implemented is to decrease ELT compensation. Let's implement that and see how much we save!

The sad thing is they only changed their mind on this because of UHC CEO being sh-t. They are afraid because the backlash against insurance companies. If this didn’t happen they would have kept this policy in place. Disgraceful that they even tried to roll this out at all.

Guess this is what happens when Gail goes to each of her directs and demands 1B in savings for 2025. Since none of these crazy COC initiatives will work it looks like it’s back to RIFing a boat load of people. Fasten your seat belts it’s going to be one heck of a ride next year.

Anyone know which team this initiative came from? Was this Carelon? Or under AB? Where were the medical policy folks in all this?

Change of heart!

“ Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield said Thursday it was not going ahead with a policy change that would limit reimbursements for anesthesia during surgeries and medical procedures. ”

This is beyond stupid! Whatever ELT threw this out there and ran with it in the name of innovation should be fired immediately.

😂 … Instead of PPO, HMO, etc. they will launch the WWW Plan (Wild Wild West). Shot of whisk-y, leather strap and leaches to stop the bleeding.

Next thing you know. Elevance will only cover a leather strap to bite on for anesthesia.

This is what happens when you start scraping the bottom of the barrel with RIFs and you still can’t hit the SG&A savings targets…f*ing disgrace.

It's been reported that United CEOs last words were "I still say anesthesia is overrated." Gail doesn't want to be upstaged. I guess docs will just schedule multiple surgeries instead of risking 1 going over the limit.
