Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Thoughts on IFP business.

With the sale of MA, who thinks the IFP business will be next?

IFP is definitely next out the door. I think they would have sold it to HCSC if they bit. The leaders are clueless; the rank and file are complacent and mediocre.

I’ve been in IFP for 9 years and have no idea where it’s going. Last year we did not meet shareholder expectation. They don’t have the talent to have high innovation and they won’t get it because it’s a very tight knit group that is so toxic I’ve watched it drive out really great people. I’m trying to leave but IFP is like quicksand of BS. I’ll sum up Cigna IFP in one sentence. You do not matter unless we say you matter so shut up or you will be canceled. Anyway if you’re thinking of joining IFP don’t. If you do good luck.

That business is cr-p. I worked in IFP for a couple years and Cigna has no idea what it’s doing there. It’s interesting that the person who unsuccessfully ran this business was rewarded by being promoted to President and CFO.

I'm not too sure that IFP would be next. Instead, I think it would be a fairly smaller LOB for Cigna and they can then position themselves for further acquisitions down the line.
