Who keeps on saying this cr-p about Zoom or Microsoft vying to buy Avaya?

They have ZERO potential gain in doing so. The Avaya name is going to carry the same weight as Enron before we know it. Any other company is going to stay away from that dumpster fire.

They are going to be sold out very soon, in next few months. Question is who is going to buy? Microsoft or Zoom or Google or Ringcentral..

Seriously, what is even left to buy? ACO is nothing but Ringcentral with an Avaya label slapped on it. Competitors don't want the on prem cr-p, that would be a step backwards. More customers are dumping their hardware to move entirely onto Teams, so even the phones are becoming obsolete.

Aside from a label with the word Avaya on it, there is NOTHING to sell. Competitors are already ahead of the curve. Avaya will go the way of Borders Books and Music. Just watch.

I think Microsoft is the best candidate to acquire Avaya

Avaya have focussed on the top 20% of customers that provide 80% of revenue for years; in fact as far back as late 90's, when they 'migrated' the 80% of customers who only provided 20% of revenue (aka SMB customers) to business partners. So, in one final act of desparation, Avaya are re-applying the 80:20 Pareto principle to their '...Top 1500 customers'. Way to go guys... Go out of business!

The analysts that said a whole lot of nothing.

The only person quoted is is NOT on Avaya payroll is the only one who said anything profound. This story is filled with regurgatated soundbytes and recycled news.

Avaya is dead.

The Liquidators

They are pushing hard for Zoom. Yet Zoom doesn't need to puch out a dollar for clients they can migrate over time on their own. As people have previously stated, the Concept of Conctact Center is a mythical aspirational money grab created by greedy leaders. The con is over and clients know they only need UC plus Applications and can build on their own through several trusted partners. Zoom is too smart to "buy" the empty base of business.

Avaya will be in violation of many government contracts for several reasons, one of which being the size of the company. They desperately want to "sell" the government business. In truth, Gov Clients can break free from the contracts without penalty, and they should. They should not be "used" as leverage for Private Equity to make some money.
