Anyone else get laid off in the U.S.?

You were only given 2 weeks total? That doesn't sound like a layoff. It's usually 2 weeks for every year plus an additional 2 weeks with a minimum of 4 weeks. I was there 17 years, worked in several different departments and then bo-m reduction in workforce, yet they brought 2 new people onto the team. Now how is that a reduction of you pay off 2 people and being on 2 new people.
IT got hit bad....
They still have the old severance policy posted on the internal confluence page. Wtf
Yeah well bad news for you. They are trying this new plan where you get two weeks. Maybe if you put in another 20 years. Lmk how it goes
I been here 20 years wanting that 2 weeks pay for every year here layoff package lol, i am still here
Just got a job at one of their competitors with better pay and package, thanks SS&C you finally did something good for me!
I too was let go this week given 2 weeks severance. It’s been bad after thanksgiving :-(
I was let go this week. They only gave 2 weeks severance. People just don't matter. Don't let any company make you think otherwise.
It was based on name title which didn't align with your department. If everyone was Software Engineer and you were Software Specialist, Buh-bye. A lot of veterans were given older titles.

What group was cut? Seems they are just going around the entire company and throwing darts at names on a paper.
Dam it! (Yes... intentionally misspelled.)
I still didn't get cut!
Amazing they waited after Thanksgiving for you. You must have been a better bootlicker than the rest.
