Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Lip Bu Tan comes back onto the Board and the stock will go bonkers.

He would remove another 20% or so of the headcount and get Product and Foundry into shape for the breakup of the company.

Intel controlled by him could be like when AMD turned around.

Semiconductor companies have to be willing to move on when it is time, and for Intel that was the week after the iPhone was launched.

What is almost certainly coming will be painful for many but be the best thing that Intel can still do. Extract the remaining value and move on.

The Board asked pat to stay for the transition and he declined.

That shows how little he actually cared for the organization which had given him so much over 40 years.

Most ELT are like that, and that is probably true at any other large company, but Intel could really use an ELT that see the right path, able to execute it efficiently, and will stick with it.

That is the difference between founders and hired hands. Everyone wants to get paid, but the founders actually believe in and are committed to what they are doing.

They are also talking about Murphy Marvell’s ceo. My God. This guy was not a good fit for Marvell. He was at matrix semi, say what?? An analog company nobody cares about.

Our BOD is a loser BOD. They should not be in charge of hiring the next CEO. Intel should merged with a great company, that’s the only way to get top CEO talent. Murphy, Tan, are these people crazy. Desperate losers.

By getting rid of Pat in this way without any plan, they did a major damage to the company and shareholders. They should have managed Pat out. What a bunch of clowns

Yea LBT should be brought back. Heard some rumors that he was trying to fire PG and lost that battle and decided to leave.

I don’t think to high of Lip Bu. He wanted intel to buy Rivos. Intel was doing bad and all he wanted was money for his investment. He shamelessly fights for his investments. He does not care for anything else. Hear his keynotes. Not a good person.

In fact they should bring him back. The only strategy going to work is 2 company solution. Else there is no way out.
