Carelon is HORRIBLE

This place is a zoo!!!!! Nobody knows what the heck they are doing…just chasing their tails. VP of Staff upward should be let go! Never seen such a rat race! If you think it’s rough now it’s going to get worse and worse in 2025.

To the old CBH poster, the same thing happened to all us Amerigroup people. Sad that this company buys companies that know what they are doing and implodes them with their incompetence.

Old CBH person here too. I agree. Far worse than ever before. We were doing things 15 years ago that others are still trying to figure out how to do. TBH, now we're trying to figure it out too because all the good people are gone. Beacon started the process and now Elevance is completing the full implosion. Every time there is a new process or team or whatever it's like we take many steps backwards. People making decisions without actual knowledge of what we do or how we do it. We can complain about tech but watch what happens when they try to replace the apps we have. The finger pointing will be almost entertaining. Watching them destroy the good thing we had will hurt.

And you do NOT want to be laid off. Adopt the Elevance mindset to check your boxes and that's it! Try to do anything else and you'll be disappointed and maybe even yelled at.

CBH the is the worst it’s ever been, so poorly run by people who do nothing but point fingers at others, blame tenured staff for their own incompetence and do nothing to solve the real issues. It’s all smoke and mirrors. We have no resources to adequately do our jobs, but we keep getting more on our plates. I only wish I could get laid off in a RIF.

The individual BUs in the BE age (Before Elevance) had their issues but were pretty good. "Families" who worked hard across lanes vs. individuals checking boxes with no collaboration. Elevance and Carelon leadership have to know this but clearly don't care. The BUs are starting to shed clients. Since we (CBH) were acquired I've had two overtly say that they will run out the contract but now that ELV is involved they have no intent to renew. One already structured an RFP that there was no way we could meet and we lost the bid. Of course, what ELV and Carelon leaders ARE skilled at is lying, misdirection, and finger-pointing. We're run by politicians, not skilled leaders.

This company and its subsidiaries are so divided, just like the nation. Carelon subsidiaries are hated by ELV health. ELV health is no great place to work for. Bunch of jokers running around with no culture and no vision whatsoever. Finger pointing and blame game between organizations within. Shameful c suite.
