Months of turmoil, disarray and anxiety caused me wishing not to have anything to do with Intel anymore. So if I’m to be laid off, bring it on - it will be a relief.

It’s more simple then that - no one wants to hire former Intel employees.
The job market is not hard.. it's normal. The feeding frenzy that was 2021 - was the anomaly. You'll probably not see that kind of a frothy job market in a generation. Start your search, build some momentum interviewing and then punch your ticket out of Intel.

Be prepared for some serious challenges if you get laid off. This is a bad time to be without a job. In IT in particular, there are far too many applicants for far too few jobs. And being ex-Intel is not going to be an advantage for you.
You should actually try searching for a new job first.
Don't let the door hit you on the a-s on the way out.

Stop whining and do something about it. What a cry baby. Quit and take you talent elsewhere. Nobody is going to miss you at Intel.
Is someone forcing you to stay? It is a hard job market right now but you are in a better position by already having a job. Update your resume, start applying, and just continue to do your job. Eventually you will find something. It is really not that hard.
