Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Don't rush to leave

Beware, sometimes the grass is greener because it is growing over a sewer. A lot of banks have the same issues as SunTruist. Your new boss or bosses aren’t always what they appeared during the hiring process. The culture your new employer has may be different but not necessarily better and yes they damn near all have some “Purpose” in their mission statement. You’ve been warned as I know what I speak.

@bpl+1vAtM2iL makes an excellent point. Make sure you really know what you're getting yourself into before you leave.

Every clunker in any junkyard once had a first coat of wax and that new car smell. Things change, people move around, C-level attempts at reading the societal tea leaves hit and miss. If you like your job, keep it and be happy. If not, punt. But as the saying goes: no matter how gorgeous they are, someone is tired of sleeping with them (cleaned up version!).

No one from HR is on here posting to keep disgruntled talent at the firm - getting a job someplace else will bring joy to yourself and a better life letting go of all your hate at the same time

Huntington is a wanna be bank. No chance market share gain will happen in Carolinas. Putting all the branches there, lol. Can’t win in banking with brick and mortar. Brant is a good salesmen and this will end hilariously

Ya, well, I’m following the money for 100% remote. All banks are dumpster fires. Might as well get paid.

Finally someone with a mature brain is here. You are so right. Hiring problems are everywhere because young millennials and snowflakes don’t want to work. Wells Fargo and BoA are horrible. If you can get on with a local small bank, get ready for a salary shock.
