Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Longer work week

Has anyone else gone from a 40-50 hour work week to 60+ hours since the last layoff? It feels like I'm just adding more hours every week.

As long as you keep doing that, there will be no reason to hire more people.

I work in Quality, we’re now on Peak season, they went from 10 hrs OT to 20 hrs OT less than a week. We’re so behind, they’re pulling offshore to assist bc we’re told there’s a “hiring freeze”

I'm confident no one will ever have to work longer than 168 hours a week.

I'm getting more tasks than usual, but I'm just letting them pile up. I'm salary and they don't pay me nearly enough to work over 40 hours. I suggest you do the same. When you can be laid off at any time no matter how hard you work, it makes zero sense to bend over backwards here. Honestly, I do LESS now than before this sh-t started. Much less. I'm still here. Seen others that worked extra hard get sent off. Go figure.
