Badge in policy for associates

Are associates required to badge in 3 or 4 times per month?

If you're like me, no one I work with is in the same office. Drive in, swipe, use the restroom, laugh at the id--tic policy, leave. Enjoy Audible or podcasts on the drive. Gone are the days when we built true community in the office and this HR team doesn't have a clue or care. Internet is less stable and productivity lower while I'm in the office so I'm doing them a favor. If they push this further I'll just go back to the days when we left our equipment at the office, remove email/teams from my device, and only be available during business hours. My children and wife would really like that.

I was coming here to see if anyone knew if they suspended the office policy due to holidays this month and next month. Guess not. That would be kind.

I think I'm on the list this month due to the way reporting works.

Nov technically started at the end of a week. I had gone in earlier in that week more than once but it was october technically.
This week I only worked two days and didn't go in at all, and now the month is over.
Thinking that puts me one under. Now I question if should go swipe today, grab a snack, and check my work phone from a cube just to keep my VP off the naughty list. When in all actuality, they themselves don't care either.

Hi - HR trolls, this is how the policy works in practice and why it's inappropriate. Let the team decide what works for them especially when no one on the team is in the same location. Doesnt matter a bit whether i went this week or today. My team isnt there. Nor is anyone to water cooler talk with outside of security, which is fine, if thats what youre paying us for.
The quotas are bs and contribute to the fear-based culture we keep acting like we didnt create and continue to perpetuate. At least I don't have a VP who just wants to "see" my face in the office because the badge swipe isn't enough - meanwhile there are VPs dont want to be there every day either which means they take it out in their staff because they themselves won't speak up to their leaders, see how that works?
does that sound like any of the survey reporting we're still working through? The ones that tell us how people feel? The ones we're so shocked about. As if we haven't been saying it the whole time.

Nevertheless, thank you to everyone who worked over the long holiday weekend! I realise the company could give a flip, but your peers do. Hope you got some time to recharge nonetheless.

There are different tiers for work location requirements. If you are not a WAH employee, any person within 50 mikes must report to an office to so.e degree(manager can define). Lowest is 1-2 days /week with 3 days /mo min. Tiers requiring higher weekly badge in will require more monthly total days.
Periodic Reports ARE GENERATED for employee compliance

You should discuss with your manager since the requirement will be different by department. Some departments require you to be onsite 1x every week. Others give more flexibility by averaging across the month ( go in 4 consecutive days and to average out to 1x a wk).

Maybe that boss has too much time on their hands and should worry about better things

i will add that yes, 3 keeps you off the “naughty” list but your boss can see how many times in the month you swiped in regardless. so your boss may question why you are at 3 and not 4 by month’s end.

My understanding is they want you to badge in once a week but 3 times a month keeps you compliant with the policy.
