Why did it take Avaya so many years to realize that we have:
Too Manay Products
Too Many Locations
Too Many Customer Segments
Too Many Unprofitable Contracts
(Too Many Employees)?????
Avaya is on Rinse & Repeat Cycle

Gap in our UC/CC Portfolio... Quick, let's acquire/re-brand a minor competitor or build a strategic partnership! Lifesize, Extreme, Radvision, IT Navigator, Nortel, Agile Software, RingCentral... the list goes on and on. No real innovation from Avaya Labs for decades.
No one had the ba--s to make positive change. Leadership was clouded by the past and had no vision for the future. Too many “stop gaps”, and not enough investment. A unwillingness by many (not all) VP level offer leaders to change, and just play it safe. The list goes on.
All of the above plus paying partners more than our own staff to do the job. There are a lot of people sitting around, mainly due to a barren sales chain, while we pay partners to do what little work there is.
