Whats have peoples experiences been with reapplying and reinterviewing? Does it feel like you have a fair shot or like people have already been picked and theyre just going through motions?

I think you will see the vast majority of lay offs when hotels start going from Marriott Managed to franchise. Not sure how many will flip, but I have heard almost all.

It will be tough to cut significantly more at HQ since sizable state and county tax credits were given in 2017 when the deal for the new HQ was signed. One condition of those credits is HQ headcount/jobs, with the cuts/repostings it’s really close to the threshold and these credits run through 2027.

If true, which i am skeptical if it is, those folks would miss out on a chance to post for open roles. That would be a bad look.

I haven't heard anything, but things still feel unsettled to me. Everybody still hasn't breathed that collective sigh of relief yet.
