Manager Layoff in PEx

Can anyone confirm if managers will be laid off or moved to other departments since their staff will be on phones 50% of work week.

Im not sure. They push digital,however 60 to 70% of the calls come from RCM teams. RCM have no incentive to stop calling because they get paid per phone call. The behavior won't stop till Contracting has conversations with the groups . Pex taking phone calls is not going to make a change in behavior

Also heard the PRC rumor and it makes sense most advocates I know do not have in person meetings all online several have out of office and never available. It is so sad that several do not have access to NDB and do not know how to or refuse to make a demo update can’t answer credentialing questions and think cred is contracting. The PRC team is awesome they respond quick manage the issue from start to finish even for core and strategic. Yes some of the PRC only know certain LOBs but they quickly bring in someone else to help. Kind of makes sense

Rumor is advocates will be replacing PRC reps! PRC would not be able to accommodate in person visits with providers and have the time for all the behind the scene digital strategy education - chart chase - town halls. I was an advocate for 15 yrs and it drains you mentally if PRC thinks they can do it, the advocates would welcome you. PS. There is a reason advocates are pay grades 27 .

PRC level 23 told me that they can do the advocates job and are getting paid 20-30 thousand less that the advocates and they better watch out. Seems legit since in our state all the advocates have OOO on and no one responds including the manager. So might as well get rid of them they are supposed to be the go to person for core and strategic but it’s not happening.

For a company that pushes digital they put more staff on phones which will cause providers to call because chat is a flawed process.
