Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

HR is gaslighting me

I don’t work here anymore but had a super toxic manager that was reported to HR several times. He somehow escaped the layoffs. He wrote my friend a bad performance review and HR deleted it.

HR just keeps telling my friend to go to therapy and that him writing the review is not retaliation (even though they deleted it)

Manager in question has no skills been at intel less than 2 years.

I don’t feel bad for intel. They are getting what they deserve

HR works for and defends the company, not the employees. This is the case everywhere, not just at Intel. Sad that you just discovered this.

Stop thinking that Intel HR is there for employees or will do the right thing. They aren't and they will not. Their main role is to keep Intel from getting sued, while paying employees as little as possible. Even if you have everything documented, if whatever happened isn't going to blow back on Intel, they will ignore you and not give a sh-t. Seriously...

Your title says HR is gaslighting YOU, but then you switch into the "friend" context. Which is it? Anyways, I also have a friend who had a similarly toxic manager in an Oregon validation team. HR lied about a well documented harassment claim, denied all evidence, and refused to talk to witnesses. They covered it up and buried the evidence as fast as they could to avoid lawsuits. HR is NEVER on your side.

HR works for and represents management, not you, and is there to CYA for the company.
Their response will always be to give you more work to do. Never go to HR, you are just bringing negative attention to yourself.
