Thread regarding Morgan Stanley layoffs

Morgan Stanley’s Policy on Rehiring Former Employees Who Were Laid Off:

  1. Open to rehiring and consider them equally to other candidates.
  2. Do not rehire these trash under any circumstances.
  3. Prefer not to rehire unless there are no other viable options.
  4. Prefer to rehire if they are equally qualified as other candidates.

Everyone I know whos been laid off has gotten through it and is in a better place for their career and effects on their personal life. Cr-ppy to go through it especially as a top performer who got caught up in a math exercise but getting through the other side is really really satisfying. Mckinsey a-holes lol

Laid off employees don’t wanna go back to that shithole either.
MDs +10 yrs at MS were laid off. They all have secured better positions with $$ elsewhere, where their work is valued.
