He sold 164,600 shares of business stock at $160.13 for a grand total $26,357,398.00 but we're cutting cost, employees losing jobs etc..

After State and Federal taxes, MW will see maybe 60% of that amount. It's still a nice payday but remember MW has expenses. He has to buy his McMansion in Texas. You don't think that his wife won't want to put her stamp on this place. He'll need new flooring, window treatments, upgraded bathrooms and kitchen too. As for the furniture, you don't think that MW is going to pack a U-Haul and drive it to Texas? He'll need new furniture. He can't be seen driving around some old car so that will be sold and him and the wife will fly first class to Houston where his car will be waiting for him. So, let's calm down because moving is going to be hard on MW.
Oh so the overtly jealous and butthurt everyone's a "corporate toadie" guy needs to chime in for this one no doubt. Must hurt to get salt rubbed in the open wound day after day, lol.
You do realize that he is selling options, right? Which means he is only getting the difference between the grant price and the price he sold— $57, so altogether $9.3mm before tax, not $25mm— still not bad, more than many employees will make in a lifetime, I agree. Also, the options expire in January 2025 (he held them for 10 years…)– so if he does not sell them now, he would lose them…And he sold them as part of a trading plan that was established in Nov 2023– so nothing malicious about the timing. Just making sure we get the facts right
if he believe in the company prospects and share price, he should be keeping it
why sell now?
It’s good to be king
He needs the cash supposedly for a place to stash his goomar in London...
Likely options so you have to subtract off the strike price. Still a lot but not as much as you listed.
Y'all realize that's like the whole point of being CEO right? What do you goons think he's gonna do sit on shares?
No wonder we are sending Petrotech jobs to India, utter lack of critical thinking.
To all the corporate toadies out there - here is where you hard work goes. Remember these numbers as they cut jobs. They replace you Optimus robots tomorrow if they could.
