Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

Last day

Yesterday was my last day at Discover, and it’s hard to put into words how happy it feels to not be associated with discover. Reflecting on my bad time here, I’m deeply ungrateful for the challenges, growth, and connections that have not shaped me either personally or professionally additionally for grunpas who have been nothing but a-professional I’ll show my middle finger.
Leaving such a useless team and a negative work culture, especially during a period of change, wasn’t a welcome choice. Working within the Business Technology organization has been anything but rewarding experience, and I’ll never miss being part of Discover.

Ultimately, I made the smartest decision to move on due to uncertainty surrounding the acquision and potential layoffs—I’m not one to wait around for severance pay. I can only hope it was the right call! Even if things don’t pan out with the Capital One deal, you might just see me back with tail in ařşêħółe.

Here’s to new bad beginnings and staying no so optimistic about what’s ahead!

Good luck. It all works out in the end. You could wait for a severance, then not be able to find a job.
