Thread regarding AMN Healthcare Services Inc. layoffs

Q4 layoffs?

I didn’t see a layoff this quarter. Did anyone else? Are things going to get better?

Performance layoffs. Recruitment pay attention. They are hiring recruiters and people performing under there pay range and low totem pole recruiters are on deck.

Pretty sure they are performance managing people out or making conditions cr-ppy so people quit instead of a big layoff

I hope there will be no layoffs this quarter because the holidays are just around the corner. In reality, it is not reasonable to think this way, since there is a pattern of layoffs at AMN, so no one is safe and it can happen at any time. The job market has been tight for a while, especially since we are in the holiday season when companies sometimes hire slower. Though I am mentally prepared for anything, it will be stressful financially. Preparing for the worst while hoping for the best.

There will be an earnings call for AMN on November 7th, at 4 p.m. CT. During the last quarterly earnings call, questions were raised regarding the continuation of layoffs throughout the year. It is not surprising that the responses were vague. According to one response, winter bill rates would arrive soon, implying that we would be busier with work and should be fine. I find that answer difficult to accept, as they always seem to have a "solution" for future layoffs.

It will come after the Q3 earnings call like last year. So right before the holidays again. Job market is rough right now too, making it worse. I've been casually looking for months but I need to step up my search.

There is a good chance that layoffs will occur in November, just as there was one last year around that time. The AMN live is also scheduled around that time, so that is my guess. There are plans to reduce 30% of the radiant team and bring in new employees from the Philippines to assist the radiant team. I heard that in some departments leadership has asked the team to list their top radiant partners that they would like to continue working with during the layoffs. There is a likelihood that they are doing the same with us and holding meetings to determine which employees they wish to keep during the upcoming layoff. As things are not likely to improve, I recommend that you begin looking for employment elsewhere. The company will eventually let everyone go once radiant is fully trained and competent.
