Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Layoff Outlook

Any predictions on how upcoming layoffs will look (assuming what Ryan hinted at is true)? Just trying to plan my next steps accordingly and hopefully make a timeframe.

@imtz+1v9eXwF1 Marathon Oil posted the Warn notice about 500+ employees, not Conoco. I have seen where a Houston Chronicle article got information confused though.

ConocoPhillips hasn't posted a notice. Yet. One may be coming first quarter.

I mean aren’t 500 people getting the boot in Huston? At least that’s what Yahoo is saying.

Probably first quarter, towards the end. Looking at mid-March timeframe based on the many, many previous layoffs. Just in time for SPring Break!

If you live in the United States, check the WARN pages in your state. Companies are required to notify the state if they are about to lay off a significant number of employees.

I agree with ptd+1v9eXwF1. Given history COP has a flair for dragging these thing out while torturing it's employees. It will be a very low year for employee performance!
