Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Finally moving on

I was part of the layoff last December of 2023. The layoff really made things difficult for my life. After almost a year of being unemployed, of submitting hundreds of applications and having a ton of interviews, I finally been able to secure a job.

I submitted so many applications and had so many interviews with Centene even after they leave me off just because I needed a job. I had to apply for entry-level positions to still not even get an interview. The position I just got is not entry level but nowhere close to where I was in relation to salary. But u am so happy to finally move forward.
I hope this company crumbles!

Same! I was part of the December 2023 layoff, as well, and I'm still unemployed. It's been almost a year. I've submitted hundreds of applications and the few interviews that I had led nowhere. I tried getting a position in a different department while I was still there and I've continued applying there, but ultimately get the rejection email with no reason behind it. I find it troubling that the ceo's salary increased by three million dollars for 2024. While me and thousands of other employees are struggling, still looking for work. Glad to hear you finally found something, but I'm sure it's difficult if you had to take a significant pay cut. Keep looking and good luck!

Sorry it's been a rough journey.. Happy you have secured something in this difficult market. What role were you at centene? Heard of some more layoffs today in the NJ market. Sure the leaders won't be talking about it.
