Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Data breach

I took the VBO, but from what I can gather given all the security controls and policies in place, there must be some real concerns with an insider threat from China. They let 500 associates go that worked out of Dalian and those resources typically support the PI business. They fired the global privacy office because they weren’t monitoring controls. Abby probably feels it’s safer to let everyone go than potentially deal with a threat actor that could be trying to leak data where that threat actor maybe linked backed to a foreign agency. I could be wrong but heads are silently flying. How close am I to touching on the real concern here?

Same stuff is happening in India.

India benefits from an Indian presence in the states.

It was due to corruption. The two Axxy's were later indicted on it..

@1qsg+1v8EKCTo Probably was “allowed” to resign to avoid a scandal and keep quite via an NDA and land something new before the news broke. These snakes always find a way to slither way while we lifers are left to clean up the mess and please the queen.

The China plans never really worked that well. So many concepts did not translate right to their culture / education.

The part I think is most at fault is the management that kept pushing China to work on project X, Y , or Z after being pulled off of so many previous projects.

Chintan Was global so he had sign off duties relative to controls between China and PI, so he definitely got fired. He was a horrible hire from day one and it took this to get canned… imagine how bad the rest of the lackluster senior management must be to keep him on. Hopefully he got the golden parachute as he will never get a job in the industry after this.

Yet they have no problem hiring unlimited H1Bs from India as well as outsourcing directly to India, the least corrupt country in the world

Your whole life is a 500 rupee bribe away from going directly to the CCP, KGB, etc

Not to worry. You have someone redirecting all current and would be investors to all other investment firms rather than Fidelity.

BINGO was his name’O .

If Fid wants to avoid even more lawsuits, they need to be 1000% transparent to all oversight and victims. Divulge every single thing they know about the situation.
