Thread regarding CVS layoffs

The lack of transparency is heartless

There have been no announcements of what departments or jobs have been eliminated. We have no idea who is still left or who we should now be working with. It's like a very stressful waiting game that is devastating to moral and ability to focus and sows distrust in leaders.

Exactly what @maq+1uZZjU2x said. This is a reflection of a failed leadership.

Lol we seem to have struck a nerve. This is not about needing to grow up, or being delusional that things are different at other large organizations. This is actually about people like you being complacent with the problematic culture that exists in corporate America, and making it even more pervasive.

People who want transparency are not immature, on the contrary, we are hopeful. Hopeful that we can insight change to create healthier workplaces for the long-term. The current way of operating is not sustainable. There are countless studies and data to show that toxic workplaces, which includes lack of transparency, negatively impacts engagement, productivity, and increases turnover. Do you have any case studies to show that MORE transparency has any negative impacts in a large corporate environment whatsoever? I didn’t think so

no one will know until last minute if you are impacted. so dont fret about it. even if someone knows they are not supposed to share with the team. grow up. do what you can and move if you dont like it. Its the same everywhere. the fact you are staying with the company is that you like the pay and benefits. if you dont then you can move on. bottomline, dont waste your energy in thinking all the BS about transparency. its not a mom and pop shop.

Here's the stuff no one is telling you.
CVS had to sell bonds to survive on the bond market.
Stocks are crashing due to those granted stocks selling them...not just lack of profit.
The issue with MA has to do with overutilzation and misses on FWA.
The CFO did a reorg of in his words shadow IT to DDAT as a strategy to reduce the workforce once offshore is contracted. If you are on a DDAT team and you only do one thing or know one thing, it's time to start looking.

Not only transparency in layoffs but just in general. I shouldn't have to read news articles to find out how we are failing in our businesses.

If they can't even explain why and how the businesses are failing that to me means they don't even know how to turn things around. So, they're just shooting in the dark with layoffs to satisfy the stock market.

It's the d-mb and d-mber syndrome. Let's see what happens in Aetna's townhall today.

I called out my leadership org this week for not even acknowledging the layoffs after they started.

The response was “we were under an NDA and could not saying anything before they started” I said, “I get that but they happened weeks ago and you never even brought them up”

Just like with the layoffs there was silence in return.

At one of the town halls we were told you’re all needed and not to worry there’s plenty to do and then at least some of us in DDAT were let go. How can anything they say be trusted. I blame a lot on DDAT reorg
