Lately, I’ve been waking up with this constant fear that we'll learn about more layoffs and that my job will be among them. It’s really messing with my focus and productivity. It’s hard to stay motivated when you’re always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Is this uncertainty ever going to end?

it is never worth it to worry like this. layoffs could come at any moment, just do honest work so that when and if it happens you have the satisfaction of knowing it is truly their loss
It will end if you vote for the right candidate next month.
Breathe and relax. Listen to me, you’re probably gonna get laid off. Stinks I know but if your this worried about job loss it’s probably because deep down you know you su-k at your job and they found you out.
The lack of transparency is heartless. There have been no announcements of what departments or jobs have been eliminated. We have no idea who is still left or who we should now be working with. It's like a very stressful waiting game that is devastating to moral and ability to focus and sows distrust in leaders.
Yes. Seems like they want to create a horrible workplace to cause turnover. Especially Executive Director level. I can’t image how things don’t get worse without improved Morale!
The reality is the layoff culture has worsened since late 2019. While long term prospects were never guaranteed it was not super likely you’d deal with constant layoffs. They have a lot more budget cuts to fulfill their promise. Between my last company I left during peak pandemic and here I’ve now seen 3 sizable layoffs in 4 years. Check the news other companies are worse.
Now I mean, straight up you shouldn’t trust this job. It’s not easy but it’s time to look, or live with peace that you’ll figure something out during severance and UI time which you would. Don’t try to convince yourself of otherwise or look to managers for comfort.
It’s something I need to step up and do my self but securing a new job is going to assure you more than anything that you have options and they’re lucky to get the productivity they get from you. And not that you’re desperately holding on for a charity paycheck.
I get it I’ve never been so frustrated either. That it doesn’t matter what you do here anymore. Encouragement to coast even while working with skeleton crews. Wanting to work and be proud of it but knowing you are only fu--ing your self.
Seriously do you even work with CVS or just a troll?
Regardless where have you been the last 40 years. Very few companies have employees all the way through to retirement and layoffs are the norm since the 80s. Get over it.
Do your best and keep on going. Living in fear is useless.
