Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Helevance is for sale

The stock is heading to market value. The SLT will have no room for more bad costly decisions. Anymore sc--wups, and the company will have to weigh its options. Most likely selling off to UH. Cigna is making another run for Humana and if that gets approved in some form, it will force Helevance to find a friend. Bye, bye SLT, your objective has been achieved.

Cigna and Humana have a better chance of joing hands now that Humana is out of the commercial business. This company can be purchased by another entity, if there is no overlap. I would think Hellevnce will be looked at by companies not in the industry.

False, no one that can afford it is small enough to get it through the anti competitive laws...

Rebranding is not complete. Good to notice. Does it look good or make sense?

Wait, wait. The other project wasn't even done before they all started rebranding. Then, no... wait, wait... new Anthem logos / brand look also. But that can't finish can it?

The leader of carelon health posted about a new acquisition on linkedin on the same day as the town hall. Yet no mention on the townhall.

I’d be surprised if this happens, based on the failed acquisition of Cigna in 2017. That was due to the Dept of Justice antitrust suit.

But I’ve been wrong before and the DoJ and federal courts are very different now.

Keep watching the local plans and ANA drive the company into the ground. Losing more than they are selling and have lived on Medicaid redetermination delays for 2yrs while failing in pharma and services. They deserve this.

How much did rebranding cost the company?
How much had rebranding made for the company?
If the answer to the first question is a lot more than the second, is the person whose idea it was to rebrand still with the company?

Wonder what the SLT really thinks, especially since the third quarter EPS was a 53% miss. Pretty sad for a team that thinks they are geniuses and how many quarters in a row did they actually increase guidance because things were going so well?

Regardless, it is always about the EPS and the shareholders. It is never about the associates or the members. "Improving the health of humanity"...HA!

There probably will be more large mergers, if approved. The industry itself is in a lot of trouble.
