Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Who is management working for?

Nobody is happy. Employees are burned out and unhappy. Customers are unsatisfied and leaving in droves. Shareholders are losing so much money and plenty are selling. Basically, nobody is happy with Intel at this point. So who is the ELT working for? Who is happy with their work?

Simple. They're working for themselves to ensure paychecks, benefits and pay rises keep on hitting their bank accounts like clockwork. They are the only ones happy at Intel.

They are all well off. Unless you are re--rd if you've been making 300K/yr for 10yr+ you would be fine by now.

You see PG smiling, giving the thumbs up, with some wafers. You just think he made it more difficult for those that produced them. There are more logic bugs and manufacturing defects then there otherwise needs to be.

Great question finally being asked. They are not getting as much attention in our current predicament than they really should be. And the answer is they are out for themselves and using us for their own goals and hidden agendas. I have worked at several bigger name semiconductor companies and Intel is very odd when it comes to their managers. They are treated almost like you friendly big brother who loves and cares for you. It’s odd and not the case at all. Intel is a weird place and our managers really need to taken down a peg or two and readjustment to their relationships with their subordinates.

Intel board & ELT are like politicians: They're there in a self-serving capacity.

  • They pat each other on the backs for holding esteemed positions while paying each other handsomely.
  • When things go wrong they deflect responsibility and blame anything but themselves and take credit when things go right.
  • When the company is gone, they'll have shelves & walls full of awards, plaques & achievement certificates, and fat bank accounts that'll secure their families for generations.

They work for themselves by courting those who can promote them. That’s it. Pretty simple. Very linear. Profitable. Most of us have a more balanced approach to life v psychotic tendencies.

You are assuming that they actually have a plan. These people have a long history of making bad decisions. They probably really think that they are doing the right things. They’re just too clueless to figure out that they aren’t.
