Good, that is what we need. More people who leaves voluntarily, the less layoffs we have.

I just call 'bull cr-p' on ending the work from home. Their excuses that other corporations are making people come back into the office like Amazon and the whole "it increases collaboration and innovation" lines. I mean, I agree to a certain extent that it probably does when you have a workforce who's 100% remote or mostly remote, however, our company is literally working from home one day week and the every other Friday that we work from home...half of the company is out of the office anyway so there's no collaboration that goes on on Fridays anyway. Most people shut their doors on Fridays and then try to catch up on work. You can't tell me one day a week is gonna make a difference. I just wish they would call it what it is, which is there's people out there that don't agree with the work from home and they are basically pushing their agenda on everyone else, or maybe there’s too many people whining about how it’s unfair because maybe their job position doesn’t allow them to work remotely once a week or there’s a handful of lazy people that they won’t put on performance improvement plans and instead ruin the work from home for everyone else. Probably a combination of all the above. Additionally, we say we're trying to be competitive and leading in our industry, but that was one of the benefits that attracted new talent to our company and now we don't have that as a bargaining chip anymore. It just su-ks to see an organization get reduced over the years where we once had 3 to 4 people doing a specific job and now it’s been reduced to one, then they add a company wide project on top of it and everyone is practically doing 2 1/2 jobs, and not even using their vacation or days off because they can’t afford to because the workload so heavy. Then we communicate to management through surveys and other forms of communication that we’re overworked, and those cries for help get ignored only for them to turn around and stab us in the back by reducing benefits that help us have a better work life balance.

Offshoring has proved to be very successful for XOM so you all may as well try too.

We vale in person collaboration and as such we are returning to the office while offshoring all nextgen support to India, thank you for not questioning our hypocrisy! Those who like remote working and are more productive thank you for volunteering to leave and saving us severance and buying that this is about collaboration and not greedflation.

I heard from a good source the HOW will still be accommodated….from 6pm to 6am Monday through Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays.

Always look on the bright side of life.

Just more of the man wanting to keep us under their thumbs. Doesn’t matter that we worked longer hours, through lunch and weekends because of WFH. It’s about CONTROL! They don’t care about work life balance! This really su-ks!

“Cost reductions as part of our three year budget process” does that sound like layoffs?

Bc getting rid of a huge perk is going to make us so much more competive than our peers 🙄

Who said anything about WFH being done in Jan? I have never even heard of that proposal. I believe the ELT would have a mutiny on their hands if they tried that, though it wouldn't personally be the end of the world for me.
