While I am not a Fidelity employee, I do have my investments with Fidelity….UNTIL I move my retirement and brokerage account elsewhere. I am disappointed in the breach that has occurred. Providing a year’s worth of credit monitoring does not cut it. It seems as if Fidelity has done the bare minimum to secure PII. Yes, they met the minimum requirement but had no interest in doing more than that. So, moving my money elsewhere. I have no idea as to where right now or even as to how but once my research is done, I’m leaving.

Good luck take your $1000 and go
For those saying anyone redirecting clients elsewhere clearly have never talked to clients day in and day out. Some (not all) are effing entitled a--holes that should not be on our platform. We should have the right to redirect a lot of our clients.
The company should make a policy that any employee who steers any current or would be customer elsewhere, will be fired.
Either you believe in the product or you don’t.
Either you are customer centric, you know the guys that pays our bills, or you are not.
Truth hurts as is evident from the replies here.
Want to be heard, then tell people to move their assets to another firm.
This is what drives investment firms.
Oh that’s just freaking beautiful. A stpid morn suggesting to send customers away to the competition. That’s the epitome of a d-mb@ss right there.
fidelity doesn’t care what we tell clients or do with their data as long as we are in the office when we do it, try and keep up
It is my fiduciary responsibility and consistent with RegBI to refer clients to asset managers that protect their personal information.
Any Fid employee who redirect customers elsewhere needs to be fired.
What a genius @oco+1v6SYlLT is. Telling a customer to put their investments somewhere else other than Fidelity and then providing them a list of the competition.
Wow.
I’m so sorry you had this experience, it’s not something Fidelity ever wants to see or happen.
That being said, management had to hire a lot of unqualified employees from Super Cuts and McDonalds during the pandemic. Management will probably eventually solve the problem, but it will take time.
not the place to post. go to reddit. or email from your aol account
Exactly, move your investments to anyone of the following below:
BlackRock
Vanguard
State Street Global Advisors
J.P. Morgan Asset Management
Morgan Stanley
Charles Schwab
T. Rowe Price
Goldman Sachs Asset Management
Wellington Management
Great. One less boomer to deal with that calls in and demands special treatment because they have “so much money with us” and always threatens to leave. Go to Schwab, no one at Fidelity actually cares if you stay or not.
whether you are an employee or an investor, beyond using you to generate revenue Fidelity does not care about you at all
