Was the Oct 18th RIF as expansive as predicted? Any idea what areas were hit? Is there any update on the upcoming org changes with all of the moves to Carelon?

Typically Elevance gets around needing to do a WARN notice because of two things: first, your separation date is at least 30 days after they notify you. Second, base severance is four weeks.
So this satisfies the advance notice to employee requirements and gets around need for reporting. I assume they do this so they can avoid big news stories - and it works to an extent because most fortune 50 companies doing layoffs numbering in the thousands do get media coverage.
Gail Biga__ doesn't care about the company or the people. She cares about how much money she can make before she goes. Same thing she's done wherever she's gone!
Is a warn notice the actual rif notice, or is it a notice that rif notice will happen in 30 days, so the actual rif is 60 days?
The WARN notices don't always go out. If I'm not mistaken it only goes out if it's 50 or more being let go per worksite so they usually lay just enough off to not trigger a WARN notice.
Federal law. Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988. Companies must notify when RIF
What is a WARN notice?
Got my notice today. I'm not upset for myself as I was ready to retire, but several other people from my group also got canned. I don't think the CEO looking in the mirror will help since it appears she planned it from the beginning. After all she sold all that stock before gutting the company.
They continued today. They actually triggered WARN notices. I'm sure this will keep going. The stock has dropped over 20% in the last month. The CEO needs to take a look in the mirror and admit to herself what she has done. Completely destroyed this company from within.
