sure is! 5 not 6 but sure thing indeed yes.
Most people probably haven’t been around long enough, but this is the original GEO structure from 25 years ago…
Asia Pacific and Latin America makes no sense being a single Geography managed from Portland. Logical thing would be to split it up.
@1tgd+1v6MrqWC “Might as well have EMEA in Los Angeles?!” Nah, New York is better since EST lines up with CEST way better than PST. Sounds like you haven’t worked much with global teams in different time zones…
Why is NASA still headquartered on earth when their mission is in space?
You need to be tapped into global markets for inventory & style forecasting. But beyond that splitting your corporate functions across an 8 to 12 hour timezone difference gives no advantages while destroying department's ability to collaborate or even just communicate.
We've spent the last decade trying to offshore and "work around the clock". It failed. We know it's better to have 90% of your staff working together than have 20% of your staff working at all hours of the day.
Running a corporation like a call center is pure insanity.
Can you help me understand why APAC is still in Beaverton if it’s not part of APLA anymore?
What a d-mb question! Then help me understand why APLA (ASIA PACIFIC and LATIN AMERICA) are in Beaverton. Two regions that are no where close!!!

@1xty+1v6MrqWC - No. Figure it out yourself!

the sixth is CEE Central and East Europe.
Even if this is true, am I the only one counting 5 geos?
Also, EHQ is based in Hilversum, not Amsterdam. That's like saying WHQ is based in Portland.
Basically APAC is the old APLA with CS still in charge..DB was always over LATAM it just got upgraded from a territorie to a geo cause they wanna focus on LATAM GROWTH.
IS EVERYTHING ELSE THE SAME?
