Thread regarding NCR Corp. layoffs

Honest NCR Voyix feedback

As someone who was recently laid off by NCR Voyix, just wanted to share my experience.

For what’s its worth, NCR was pretty good to me money-wise.

As a level 13, I made 130-170k per year and my severance was more than generous.

The only ones that get treated like garbage are customer engineers, but let’s face it, I would treat those rats like garbage as well.

So why the disrespect for CE positions, when sales and upper management depend so much on the CE’s to keep the lights on.
Sign contracts then depend on CE’s to keep customers running and satisfied. Did the CE’s come up with the brilliant company split? Nope, have the CE’s driven NCR into the ground…nope.

Why only CE in North America and Japan?

The disrespect of CE has been going on since the late 90’s. When I started in early 70’s everyone understood good service made new sales and upgrades easier to close. Then the “throw away” mindset came about. We also called it the “toaster oven” concept. All hardware was a “toaster oven”, if it breaks, throw it away. No need for service. That’s what sales and management thought. So CE’s started to be thought of as 2nd class. Wrong as he-l. CE’s have always been a major part of NCR, but Voyix is a sinking stinker so it’s over. Time to close the tool kit and go home.

My first job was at NCR in the late 90s. Remember going to Yahoo Finance board. Full of CE’s crabbing about this and that. Some things never change!

Yeah looks like they really are SUPER bored and want to rile you up acting like a toddler on a daycare playground.

I think they need a nappy

I second the original poster. I was laid off back in July and I get severance through the end of November (full pay).

I heard CE’s get some toilet splash back every time a senior executive takes a leak.
