Belk corporate is still spending recklessly, unnecessary dog and pony show visits, travel expenses, dining expenses, money spent on signing when profits are declining, all useless costs and the focus on what stores have really become is being ignored. Wake up and smell what your shoveling Don.

Belk will not fix a/c. Countless belk stores have broken or old a/c units. Especially here is Mississippi.
They have allocated tens of thousands of dollars to install new retail analytics cameras at front entrances, which primarily penalize stores for not meeting the metrics derived from the data collected. It is concerning that Belk prioritizes this initiative over enhancing the store interiors, particularly in locations with inadequate or non-functioning air conditioning.
They spent tens of thousands sending managers to Charlotte to see holiday set up. Absolutely useless waste of time
Corporate Executives like to spend money. I bet your bottom dollar that if it was their own company, they'd be pinching pennies.
