Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

People need to quit

Enough with the "quiet quitting" nonsense. You slacking off doesn't affect just you. It affects your entire team, who have to pick up after you. If you're done with this place, then put on your big boy/big girl pants and quit. Leave the rest of us out of it, ffs.

@4mhk+1v2fpT64 I would like to ask if you think Wells Fargo has an innovative culture. Or does it matter to you anymore?

Tell it to Shart, OP. He's the one that started the morale tanking and created the WF Quiet Quitting culture. He did it intentionally, because he doesn't give an S how the company performs, so long as he can get people to quit. That's the ONLY objective right now. Everything else is Titanic deck chair BS.

Sounds like you are unhappy at work. Maybe you should take your own advice.

OP, to a large extent I agree. But don't forget that Charlie has made it known that more layoffs are coming. Some will feel put off by that, and you could be next.

"I haven’t had a raise below 7% in the last 5 years (I do not believe those that say they got 0-3%)"

Wow. You are so precious.
There are a crapton of folks who get bubkis for raises in this company. All the while I was getting exceeds on all of my reviews (until HY's took over) and I was routinely getting less than 3%.

You should learn to restrain yourself when you feel the urge to spew what you think, instead of what you know.

Morale is at an all time low because the Powers that Be, sitting in Hudson Yards, created it. They want it to be miserable so the minions will quit. Don’t quit! Look for another job or wait for your package. Go out on your terms not Scharts!

You’re so heroic. Thank you for the lecture and educating all of us out of touch people! Shame on us for working hard and being successful in life - we really should just focus on listening to you and those union junkies who collect commission on getting people to join.

Quiet quitting is not being lazy. It is not doing the bare minimum.
Quiet quitting means to focus on yourself... not the bank.
It means that you need to realize that being a bully, which gets you ahead at Wells, will not in the real world.
Quiet quitting means quitting bullying and learning to be a leader. Upskill yourself by learning what a fearless organization is. What the new technologies are. What your career should be.

I like all the doofs attempting to justify and validate their laziness in this thread. Quiet quitting isn’t doing the bare minimum. I do the bare minimum and look like a rockstar compared to 90% of those in my org because of quiet quitting.

I say keep it up, please, for my sake. I haven’t had a raise below 7% in the last 5 years (I do not believe those that say they got 0-3%) or a weak bonus riding the backs of quiet quitters. Not a humble brag, just anonymous facts on an anonymous board. This isn’t the Wells Fargo I fell in love with but d@mm it’s easy to thrive in this climate of fools shooting themselves in the foot over RTO and hoping for that magical 14month golden parachute. lol

If we had leadership, strategy and real efficiency not just the financial metric you would see fewer exasperated people feeling like all they can do is baseline.

OP is the company guy that works hard even though he's going to get laid off. Commonly referred to as a "Su---r".

I intentionally only do the bare minimum(less if I can) and wait for my severance and unemployment benefits.

Oh FO. Quiet quitting is really just doing your job-- e.g. "meets" in review parlance.

Why should any of us ki-l ourselves when it won't be rewarded. Do your job, and no more.

Nice try tho.

Nice try Charlie. You're going to have to pay the severance. We're not falling for it.
