AVP playing with my career and creating an environment that will force me to resign . Can’t shift currently due to family reasons.What options I have? Is HR helpful? Deeply hurt, year long hard work wasted.

Typical MetLife. Once the bullies put a target on your back, only a matter of time before they destroy your health, reputation, career. Sprint to an employment lawyer and set up a strategy to negotiate the rest of your painful MetLife job
Some people are using the disability insurance to buy time. Otherwise, HR knows that MetLife is toxic. They will boomerang investigate you and create their own record against you. Try to find another job, even at a pay cut.
They always play such games at year end.
