Been here 20 plus years and impacted before. Piece of advice; NEVER speak up for or say what this company isn’t doing because they WILL embarrass you by proving you wrong. If someone says there is a RIF coming; please believe them. I was in leadership, cared and advocated for my team, received exceeds expectations back to back multiple years. When I got to a leader who didn’t like me for personal reasons and because I did what they ask by challenging the status quo’s, lived the values and mission because I genuinely care about all people, they simply rated me at a meets to get rid of me. Never had anything but positive feedback on reviews. I was devastated but it let me know the reality of working here. They want YOU to live by the values while they don’t. You see how you had to eat those words?…I sincerely hope you understand now. Be blessed and keep your head up.

It is real. I was riffed and know of one other colleague who was also. We both work in Clinical Analytics in case this information is helpful to others. That said, I'd expect broad cuts across the entire company. Since last week >$12 billion in market cap has evaporated as the stock falters.

Blue Shield of California is not Elevance. Elevance is Anthem Blue Cross in California. Two different companies are licensed to offer plans in CA, one has Blue Cross and one has Blue Shield.
