And sorry for those who get to keep the job for now. USB has been going downhill for quite a while. Culture has been steadily deteriorating, and I’m sure that many have felt underappreciated and demoralized for a long time. Leadership will continue to coax the rest of us into working hard. And they will reward us by booting us the first next opportunity.

Worst bank I ever worked for! So glad that I left on my own. Retail bank thinks they are creating relationships with clients, it’s a joke, all the employees do is count tick marks for products, they have no clue about true relationship banking, it’s all about a sale. Should change the name to Wells Fargo!
Reality is we average 12-15k more employees than other banks our size. It’s not a fun exercise and feel bad for those impacted, but necessary to compete.
I actually like my job and the people I work with. Sure, it gets stressful and the hours can be long at times but I would not like losing my job and having to start anew. I am not thrilled with the company in general and I am unhappy with how they treat people, but I would be unhappy, and not celebrating if I were laid off.
