Heard some of the 'PMO' group were let go today, are there any other groups impacted? Seems yet another 'leader' (and I use that term extremely loosely)..has come in and wiped out valuable employees yet again. Are we really surprised that Allstate is moving down the list of top employers in both the US and NI? Progressive definitely looking to gain the upper hand on Allstate for employee job security and benefits?

It’s not fake news! This paper has the eighth highest circulation in the whole wide world!
And it doesn’t mention anything about progressive.
Thanks! Fake news confirmed.
Here’s that link

Just google “Insurance Business Weekly”, it’s a legit online website? Fake news.
Provide a website address if it's real.
Just google “Insurance Business Weekly”, it’s a legit online website and go back through past postings/articles and you’ll see from last Wednesday where they have an article about Progressive looking to sell their New England PIF or drastically reduce it and Allstate being the leading contender to take them over. They estimate approximately 35K policies coming to Allstate by the end of Q4.
What is the website address for the legit on-line publication Insurance Business Weekly?
Website for People magazine reporting that an internal feud within Progressive is holding up the proposed sale. Jamie wants to stay at Progressive but Flo wants to go to Allstate. Unconfirmed rumor is that she has a major crush on Mayhem.
Forbes is reporting on their website the purchase of Progressive by Allstate is in the final stages, the hang up appears to be Progressive wants their employees offered jobs for Progressive policies being sold as part of the deal for the next 36 months
Allstate is not purchasing Progressive and vice versa...just stop
it would be more likely that prog purchases ALL. better models and systems. ALL doesn’t even have enough capital to do P let alone SF. SF has enough capital to gobble up both if they wanted
Yes, heard around 30 in IT - Project management area. Third year in a row.
Insurance Business Weekly is a legit on-line publication
"Insurance Business Weekly"? If you're going to make up stories, at least say its in Mad Magazine - at least that's a real magazine. And Alfred E. Neuman does kind of resemble a certain CEO.
Recent post about Progressive PIF in northeast is id--tic. Grow up and stop posting fictional information.
Progressive’s website now notes sale of PIF in New England is TBA by the end of Q4 and Insurance Business Weekly website names Allstate as the likely buyer.
I deal with the Indian “adjusters” almost daily. The mo--ns send in estimates with 155 individual shingle replacements. Then I have to go in and redo that, override the RPF and check all the line items, while still going over all the photos. I have not handled a single claim where those useless pieces of sh-t saved me time, it adds more time and work for me every single time.
Another October and another RIF in ATS PMO
They have been trying to move claims to India for years. Since at least 2017. I had managers that went to India to train them. It fails miserably every time. They write a few super low dollar estimates but that’s it. My department just got back a ton of work from them because they couldn’t handle it (low level supplements). Not saying they won’t RIF claims and just make everyone do 3x work but it ain’t because of Pune if they do.
Allstate buying Progressive would make sense. /sarc
After all, the only way to make Progressive non competitive and knock them down a peg is to buy them and force the Allstate business model on them: Lard slow, plodding, hike premiums and do layoffs every year. Drag one of the main competitors who consistently kick your a-s in the market down to the same level of mediocrity you occupy. Brilliant management.
Next up: Allstate purchases State Farm!
Buying progressive hahaha. You believe this fu--ing guy?
You folks are insane, Allstate’s about to purchase Progressive so they’re expanding their footprint not reducing it.
Offshore vendors are being worked into taking over most Claims roles much like they did service, tech, and product roles.
Does anybody have an opinion on RIF in the claims department? Lots of you here know a lot more than me, but would the claims reps be likely to included in any layoffs?
Never heard of that department??? Probably no big loss. Still a lot of wasteful spending on nonessential folks.
