Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

CVX cutting DEI programs

Get ready! In line with other large companies like Ford, Chevron is quietly walking back DEI programs and commitments. Expect cuts to DIO employees and affinity groups. Elevate was placed on immediate ‘hold’ last week with no plans to ramp back up. More to come as it’s no longer seen as a defining factor for retention…because they don’t care about retention. ‘Human Energy’ slogan is also on the chopping block….

As a "diverse" person, thank f*ck for that. Let's get on with the actual job instead of obsessing over ever-smaller groups differences.

There is truth to the Elevate comment. bye bye. DEI layoffs won't be significant, I mean there are like 3 people?

It's too late. The damage has already been done. People who have been placed in an upward position aren't going to be held back or replaced. Those that have been passed by have left or are leaving.

I haven't heard anyone significant mention MARC in years. I thought it was dead. I managed to avoid ever attending.

I found elevate to be pretty useless as well. Now will they sacrifice the holy cow known as MARC? I will rejoice and be glad.
