What department were you in? And presently?
Mine was 30 mins long. Laid off in August and started with a new department within Elevance. I don’t think I can mentally handle getting laid off….again in such a short period of time 🥺.
I got my 30 minute 1:1 request on a Monday (for the Thursday RIFfing). I don’t think there’s any rhyme or reason to it beyond maybe an individual department having a stated process.
Probably fine. They wouldn’t send the invite this early. They would also only make the meeting 15 minutes if it were a RIF.

40 minutes seems long for a RIF meeting. Usually they are short and painful. 15 minutes.
