I did read in the regulatory paperwork that the bank committed to not laying off UB employees, but it may have been limited to branch personnel.

I don't know where this narrative of Union Bank Employees are untouchable for two years came from. My team lost a very senior 20+ year UB employee this last round . I know of a few other UB employees in other departments impacted this year.

No more hello kitty Kit Kat from Japan due to layoff in EFCC.

Did they lay off those conspiracy qanon Bogalloo boys in EFCC or just us West coast voters?

EFCC sent an email this morning axing everyone in CA, OR, and WA. They fired the lady that mails our teams Japanese Kit Kats every year. If she reads this board, you were a real one Kit Kat Lady.

If anyone does not think people are being laid off in the masses, well not only are you ignorant to the fact our Q3 earnings were hit after mass layoffs in Q2 . How else would a company become profitable so fast - layoffs.
10/15 and 1o/16 - all legacy USB employees and not one union converted employee in CA because they are untouchable for 2 years past conversion date. No loyalty in this he-l hole.

Some states like CA require 60 days notice. I know a bunch that were given their 60 days notice and won’t have to log in anymore, but will be paid for the next 60 days

For those of you who don't believe anything on these pages are FOOLS!! I have followed since the first layoff that happened in our Dept in Oct of 2023. Since then we had people laid off in June and then another set of people this month YESTERDAY!! WE are located in Missouri. So no speculation flat out facts.. Be realistic we may get the DATES or surrounding DATES but no one unless the actual presenter is doing will know what actual Department it will Affect.

And answer to your question some last day was immediate after told and severance packaged out in 30 days. Other members on our team had to work 60 days before their last day then received severance. Our dept TBH was the only depart to make the people stay and work through out their layoff, while others got paid for that 30 days waiting on their severance.

There are always those perma layoff-skeptics. Every thread has them. They don't believe any news here unless it has enough information to compromise anonymity.

"OK more vague and confusing information here. Does nobody find it that more specifics are not given or what appears to be fake. If you are laid off, maybe tell us if there was a waiting period like 60 days or if they stay true to the severance package/policy. I’m not buying a lot of what people are selling on here I have yet to hear of one person being laid off."

@2rhn+1v0FZyxj this is beyond stupid of you. Believe if you want to or not but don't expect people to give away their IDs. Layoffs ARE happening everywhere at the bank and if you haven't heard of a single one then consider yourself lucky or ill-informed.

Someone on my team was laid of on 10/15. It's definitely happening. It's not like USB goes out its way to inform Business Lines that layoffs are happening. Most people just find out organically that people were laid off. It's deliberate done to obsfuscate the news.

You get a prorated bonus.

I was laid off today and my package outlines that my bonus will be 10/12ths of my target PBP.

Read the Severance SPD document in the My Total Rewards area.

You definitely do not get a bonus… you do get severance based on years and grade level of service.

If you are laid off how are bonuses treated? I have read on here that you can get a prorated bonus for the following year based on the number of months that you worked. Is this true?

what warm up!
USB have laid off, forced retirement about thousands of FTEs pre and post Union Bank merger. The re-Orgs and constant consolidations and out-sourcing to Poland, India and the Philippines are on-going. The PMs, Analyst and Spreaders could be next to be outsourced .

@xit+1v0FZyxj - it’s a reference to the Game of Thrones show. There was a wedding where basically everyone got mu---red in a particularly bloody fashion.
