Normally everyone's severely trying to get ready for Christmas season. Much work. But why are they taking 2 management jobs and combining it into one? 50% more workload at the busiest preparation time. How bad are they expecting this peak season to be? Non salary is having overtime chopped to near nothing.

Well, there is your answer. Read the Bloomberg article on FedEx yesterday. Slumps on quarterly profits, softer 2025 outlook. Stock down 14%. FedEx normally is upfront and forthright about its true condition unlike other competitors
degree of tilt on this biz ship is rolling side to side but not sinking yet. economic storm approaching. water lapping across stern deck. crew alert. ready your own lifeboat
Runner- Gunner drivers always leave safety out and drink the management kool-aid forgetting management gets a bonus if they can fool you into going faster and faster. Better to be safe and do high quality work .
Remember revenue is down 32%. So large cuts will be made to include unnecessary spending, closing building and laying off employees. Nationwide, UPS has already closed many Customer Counter Centers. Drivers are also getting laid off. Based on my experience with drivers on a regular basis, some drivers think they are entitled (lazy). Some drivers work hard, take care of the customers, but are harassed by these entitled drivers. What I mean is that these hard working drivers are sometimes made to finish or do these entitled drivers work at the end of the day. UPS should offer buyouts to order management employees, but are really hoping they die or retire first. UPS, do the right thing and take care of your older management employees still working with a buyout offer.
No surprise inside sales reps might get whacked if u do not plan on selling many future parcel delivery contracts due to spiraling economy.
It isn't about "How bad they are expecting this peak season to be". It is about the CEO's stock price and bonus. Total disconnect from the corner office.
Most front line operation managers would do a better job, but the current CEO could not do their's to save her life.
Just found out they let 350 Inside Sales Reps go and gave the accounts to a reseller, WW Express.
Doubling a manager's workload when already it is a place where work goals you are given can never be met. It is already a pencil whipped mess of partially incorrect numbers fed to the top, as stock options/pay/perks are tied to the numbers. Needs improvement.
Other parcel shippers are making odd changes and not just this one. Stats on future spending look damp so far.
poor planning. most revenue is made around the peak season. should have waited till after january for chopping's. people have no extra money past buying groceries and gas at enormous prices.
