Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Engine started

If your job is listed, you are no longer needed here.

Here is what’s funny - you will train your replacements. I will but my salary better increase 30% this year for risk I am taking to stay with this sinking ship.

@1jpz, first job out of school and you made some poor decisions with your career and you didn't move on when you should have? Wait up. I bet your poor personal decisions are all someone else's fault. That's very original. So you think others should follow your advice now after you made poor decisions? Nah. Thanks tho, bruh

I wonder what kind of favors and benefits AS is getting from his Indian pals. Anyone see his linked in? Nonstop comments from Indians.

3000 is a lot, even 650 is a lot. We don’t have jobs here, what will they do. Another wasted venture. While Akshit makes money, we dipsh-ts lose money

Attrition in Bangalore is highest in India. Whether or not you see your job out there, the rotating door of employees coming and going will take years to slow down. I'm guessing we have at least a few years for current employees until we see ROM movement. Of course next year will set the tone for the following years. 3000-5000 total jobs over five years is quite a jump and not sure Chevron can handle it.

College graduates And experienced hired. Do not waste your energy working for this company. They will make you so many promises but they are all wet dreams. There are so many better companies to pour your sweat equity into. This company will not return what you put into it. Do not sell out America by training your replacement in India Chevron is a different company . Do not drink the koolaid or listen to the human energy bs. They will lay you off when you least expect it. It doesn’t matter if you have a +1 pmp evaluation. This is not a stable company anymore to build a future for your wife and kids. I learned the hard way and was drunk on the human energy koolaid after 15 years

That’s about right. I would say more like 30-35K for 15-20 yr experienced RE.

I heard that converted to USD, an experienced Indian reservoir engineer earns about $26,000 per year. True? We could hire 15 for every American, 20 for every Aussie.

BRES needs another international project so there will be a major building project similar to Perth with lots of travel and rewards. Gotta help spend that 1 billion to start this monster! No WFH. So sorry @qll+1uzCDlS0

Who says it hasn’t worked for Exxon. I see their ads on LI and it says it’s working great. Wait - that’s how we fell in the trap?

Ripped a page out of Exxon’s playbook. It hasn’t panned out too well at Exxon.

I have applied. Is WFH allowed in India. Traffic is very bad and if we can do remote work, why not from home in India? Save your office space
