I seriously don’t think my office is going to be in 5 days a week lol. We all have been talking about keeping our same schedule as before which was 3 days in person.
I don’t get why we need 5 days in office if all of our meetings are via teams

Monday October 7th is the start
I’ll be at informing my cuts then.
Are they saying around when they will do this?
Proof?
Yeah I’m a manager and MY manager wants to know who I’d be okay with parting with. She isn’t terribly happy that I’m a L7 who has 2 L7s reporting to me. She wants a detailed review of their financials any proof of their impact. NO MORE promotions this year even though ALL 3 of MY L5s could easily out perform my current L6s (and two of them do.)
We’re in trouble guys….and cuts are on their way. None of us are safe.
Any proof?
Next round is upon us but it’s looking like they want to chop level 6 and up. L3harris is too top heavy and “executives” aren’t doing enough to help the rest of us with our work. Their solutions are always problems tracking.
I could do without a lot of that level of management anyway.
Ebbs and flows, folks. Hope most of my friends and immediate work family survive this round.
Waco CEO: Why are we having all these meeting everyday and we are still falling apart?
Manager: We will have all our teams schedule some more meetings and try and find out.
Manager here. Haven't heard anything about monitoring people. Yet.
I've heard managers were told to do office checks and make notes of who is in and out. Could be to prepare for the alleged October layoffs, or could just be to prepare for any future layoffs.
The heavy thinkers will have no problem finding a new job though, I’m sure.
Companies want people to return to work cause the next few quarters are going to be really tough for majority of corporations no matter which industry you are in. Recession will be knocking on the door soon enough and inflation will go up (after it goes down for a short while due to Fed cuts, but when Fed is cutting, then what - it's recession and then deflationary time). Start saving your money, unemployment will start to creep up slowly, and get yourself back into work five days a week if that is what is needed for you to get a paycheck. Every corporation is starting to ask their employees to return to work (even 5 days a week). Be glad you have a job and are able to pay your bills. Just look what's happening around Europe (some countries already in recession), China is in deflationary mode, Japan is in recession, Africa is flooded, India graduates can't find a job, and people are living lives in some countries where there is a conflict daily - not sure if they will be alive tomorrow. Going to the office and having a job, able to get a paycheck, able to have a roof over your head and being able to feed your family should be something you should be glad about. After all there is no other country like USA. Besides, pretty soon, AI will take over your job, then you'll be home 24 hours a day wishing you had a job and was able to go into the office 5 days a week.
This is a layoff page. Quit whining about RTO, We don't care if you come in or quit, just shut up!
Why are you posting to a layoff site?
Seems like there will be another wave of layoffs in October, and it'll be easier if people quit because of RTO, or give the company cause to fire people that don't comply.
It really is funny how every single meeting is still a Teams meeting. Almost no meetings happen in person except for scheduled Milestone meetings. Nothing like echo feedback hearing the person in the cubicle beside you both over Teams and in person next to you.
Remote: Team Meetings
Hybrid: Team Meetings
Office: Team Meetings
considering you have ZERO control over that other than what your obvious options are, glty!
