Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Remote

Alot of big companies are making their remote employees RTO (return to office). I wonder if Centene plans on us staying remote forever (hopefully) or does anyone know if they will pull a fast one and make us also RTO. Anyone hear anything?

Welcome back to the office OP! 😂😂😂

If RTO was even remotely a thing you’d hear more about it outside of the fear mongering bullsh*t you read online and yet you have the nerve to post some something like this???

“Hey guys have y’all heard anything? Hey guys I fall for everything I see online can someone baby me cause I’m too d-mb to listen to my company and I’d rather listen to external fear mongering!”

OP I hope you get told to RTO. This is the most ridiculous post I’ve seen and it’s people like you who would rather listen to some fear mongering you’ve seen online than read the facts.

Think I’m being mean? Good. You need it. Wake up. Stop listening to viral tik tok bullcr-p.

OP I just got the inside info. You are going to have to go hybrid and the rest of us that aren’t required to be in office get to stay remote. There’s your answer.

Tell us you’re a low level employee without telling is you’re a low level employee. Never could get to that next level, could you? Always someone else’s fault eh?

You have no idea what you’re talking about about your low income language supports that.

Centene is a joke and employees are just waiting for the dreaded announcement that they will be laid off. They acquire great companies, then chew them up and sp-t out garbage.

This has been going on in the industry for the last several years in healthcare. They will have you work a hybrid schedule so everyone gets days in the office.

"If you think they haven’t already looked into offshoring, you’re mistaken. It can be done in pockets, for certain roles. But the job they do and days they access makes a big difference. Imagine having US government subsidized health insurance where the vast majority of the employees are offshore. Not going to happen.

Stop all of “the sky is falling cr-p”. Offshoring where prudent will always take place, but it will never be en masse."

You are either severely disillusioned or just love the taste of sh-t. Imagine not being a C-Suite a-s-kisser while simultaneously not trying to gaslight your colleagues. I know it's a hard thing to do but give it the ol' college try huh? Troll

They closed or significantly reduced office space around the country in a cost savings move. It would cost hundreds of millions of dollars to reopen those offices. There not going to do it.

LOL of course they are going to keep most of non member facing employees remote but its not Americans they will keep remote. And its not only because they have done away with most of their physical locations. They are going to fire/lay off most of us here in the states and send the work offshore which they have been doing steadily since 2020. So whether you are part of a team that was remote prior to 2020 in this America doesn't mean squat. And they will find any loophole to do so -- and currently that would be making metrics absolutely impossible to obtain to justify firing you. You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. You are exactly like the "essential" and "hero" workers during the "pandemic" until you weren't essential or a hero somehow anymore and we all know how that ended up.

It doesn't seem likely but that is one way to lose employees without paying out as they weren't let go but voluntarily chose not to return so you never know. Can't put anything past them anymore.

They’ve sold or leased so much of their real estate…it seems like it would cost millions just to attempt RTO.

A lot of teams have been fully remote before 2020…my team is all over the country and many of us live 2-3 hours from an office, so they would lose a ton of people…which I mean, we know they don’t care about that though…but I don’t even know what the point would be when some of us would be in an office with no one on our team and would drive 2 hours? No way anyone is doing that.

I can tell you, with absolute zero doubt and hesitation, I’ll happily leave on the spot if they ever mandate it. That bridge will burn 🔥 without a second thought.

Maybe me that’s what they want. Works for me.

They’ve closed multiple offices in our state…they’d either require a 2 hour commute (one way) or have to find and open offices again.
