Majority of the BUs have workforce that averages sbove 12 year of tenure. I doubt there will do an EOI if the payout is good.

If you own at least 1 bitcoin give this a thumbs up. Your bags are packed. No EOI necessary. Note that in the last round of EOIs there were a few BTC holders who raised their hands. BTC is 5x since then. It’s a wonder why we’re not using flare and vent to fuel mining machines and the required cooling. Google Exxon BTC. Aren’t we fast followers?

"I was told that if you were offered an EOI that you might as well take it" ???????
That's not how it works. It is not something that is "OFFERED" to the employee. Tell us you are a troll and don't work for CVX or any other major without telling us you are a troll and don't work for CVX or any other major.

The number of people on here that don’t have a clue what EOI is or how it works is staggering. LOL

I was told that if you were offered an EOI that you might as well take it. Either your on chopping block or your career is stunted for 5 years. They learned last time that only good performers accept EOIs, so it will be very selective.

The problem is they may generate the Sack list before the package is announced so by the time you see how generous the deal is, it may be too late to request it. It takes months to agree who the lowers are and get management sign off. If you know a higher level manager p, however, they often add last minute names to the list, sometimes out of revenge.

EOI will be the informal route this time. You discreetly tell your boss you want to be fired and if they like you they may oblige. Some will refuse, of course.

The way to EOI now is to intentionally do a bad job. Overuse your sick time, deliver bad quality work, irritate your boss and coworkers, etc

EOI is over…done….finito….gone! You will get your pink slip and security will escort you to your car. It would at least be best if you WFH, then you won’t have to think about it if you were driving home when that fateful day arrives. Best of luck !

EOI’s will not be accepted. They do not add shareholder value and that’s what this game is now all about. Human Energy be damned.

Severance will be the minimum. The cuts will be done in small events.

I thought this time around there's no "EOI". Chop chop chop by the business unit.

I doubt that the OP works for Chevron or any major at all using the phrase "offer EOI's" lol.

EOI is “expression of interest”. I believe you’re referring to whether they’ll have a severance package.

The consultants are figuring out what the number will be over the next three weeks. There won’t be an event this year because Chevron takes at least 9 months to draft new org structures.

EOI will only be accepted very selectively this time, like if you were going to be fired for sure anyhow.
